Thanks for sharing. I don't think I have ever seen a 2-story Sears house.

Way back in 1921 my great grandparents bought a two story house from
Sears and had it shipped by train to Lena. It's still there and looks quite
grand. They moved to town from the farm across from Lake Le-Aqua-Na. The lake
used to be their cow pasture.Mike

We've been in that store often. When we lived in DeKalb we
frequently traveled to the Chicago area on the week-ends. And a
common destination was the Woodfield mall, especially when the
weather was less than great. Shabro's pizza was a favorite stop
as they had pizza by the slice. Provided a great snack before we
frequently ended our day at a Korean restaurant before going
home. Kind of sad to see that place close even though we haven't
been there in years. I think it was probably the largest store in
total retail floor space of all the Sears stores.
