Howdy Pranav,
I wasn't able to get ebook speaker to build in Arch just yet, so I have not
tried it. However, I think I may know what's up with it, can you try this:
export DIALOGOPTS='--no-lines --visit-items'
Then launch the program normally and see if you can navigate it.
