Thanks for that clarification. I was kind of afraid of that.
I am asking because I have this idea of building my own smart watch with a
raspberry pi zero.
I will have to use the CLI and am wondering how to control the watch. Yes,
dedicated buttons will do but I wish I could get a full keyboard. In a GUI, I
could use gyros to move the mouse etc.
I have seen a project that did this.

Unfortunately, as far as I know, the answer to both questions is no. I think
touch screen input is only available in some X sessions.
