The Franklin County Local Food Council
<http://www.fclocalfoodcouncil.org/> is hosting a Listening Session (Part
2!) on *Wednesday, October 28th from 5:30-6:45pm* about issues faced by
workers in the food system. The event will be held via Zoom (link below)
with Food Council members and others from the Franklin County community.

Our focus is on* essential workers in the food system* with a social
justice lens to better understand issues of wages, healthcare, working
conditions; and how these issues disproportionately impact women and
minority food and commercial workers. *This session will focus on wages*.
Our guest speaker for the event is Columbus City *Councilmember Elizabeth
Brown*:

We work closely with the Local Food Action Plan
<https://www.columbus.gov/publichealth/programs/Local-Food-Action-Plan/> and
will be using this event to elevate worker issues among local policymakers
in the City and County.
