*Apply today to join the Steering Committee of the Franklin County Local
Food Council! *
Steering Committee members are responsible for establishing and executing
the strategic direction and priorities of the Food Council, in addition to
supporting organizational functions through business and governance
decision-making. The Steering Committee is an opportunity to take
leadership in the Food Council and support our mission *to expand,
strengthen, and maintain a resilient local food system*, as well as our
work to *provide a pathway for resident and community participation in
implementation of the Local Food Action Plan (LFAP)*.
*Members commit to*:
1. Participate consistently in Food Council activities (must attend min.
5 meetings/year)
2. Bring food system knowledge, experience, & perspective to the Food
Council
3. Represent the Food Council within their various networks & invite
others to Food Council meetings and events
4. Vote on issues of Food Council business and governance
*Applications will now be accepted on a rolling basis and seats will be
filled as they become available*. Please allow 6 weeks for your submission
to be reviewed. The application can be found here
