the coronavirus crisis.

is providing cash assistance to restaurant workers, car service drivers,
delivery workers, personal service workers and more who need the money to
weather the crisis. They are also operating a One Fair Wage High Road Kitchens
Program, which features independent restaurants that provide food on a sliding
scale to low-wage workers, health care workers, first responders, and others in
need. The program is also providing jobs for restaurant workers and a subsidy
for responsible restaurant owners who commit to paying a living wage and
following equitable employment practices.

the same time to explore examples of how food policy councils are integrating
food worker voices into their membership, advocating for policies to support
food workers and communicating with decision-makers around labor issues during
COVID-19.
