Dublin Bus Easter Arrangements 2018

We wish to advise customers of the following Easter Weekend bus service
arrangements and diversions.
Good Friday 30th March 2018
A weekday service will operate on all routes with the exception of the
routes listed below:
Routes 25x, 27x, 32x, 46e, 51x, 116, and 118.
Nitelinks will be operating.
A limited service will operate on the following routes:
Route 33x
Departures at 07.15, 07.30 and 07.55 from Skerries
Departures at 16.30, 17.00 and 18.00 from Custom House Quay
Route 41x
Departures at 07.50 from River Valley and 07.45 from Knocksedan via Glen
Ellan
Departures at 17.00 and 17.30 from UCD to Swords Manor via River Valley
Route 51d
Departure at 07.45 from Clondalkin
Departure at 17.45 from Aston Quay
Route 66x
Departures at 07.30 and 07.55 from Straffan Road via Easton Road
Departures at 17.10 and 17.30 from UCD
Route 67x
Departures at 07.20 from Celbridge via Aghards Road and 07.50 via Main
Street
Departures at 17.00 and 17.20 (via Aghards) from UCD
The following departures will not operate on the routes below:
Route 84x
Departures at 06.50, 10.30 and 13.30 from Newcastle and the 12.00, 15.50 and
17.00 from Hawkins Street will not operate.
Route 84
Departure at 17.30 from Newcastle will not operate.
Easter Saturday 31st March 2018
There will be a Saturday service and a full Nitelink service will operate.
Easter Sunday 1st April 2018
A Sunday service will be in operation and there will be no Nitelink service.
There will be temporary bus diversions in the City Centre to facilitate the
Easter Rising Commemorations until approximately 15.00. As a result the
following diversions will be in place;
Northbound Routes at OConnell Bridge
Normal route to OConnell Bridge then divert right to Eden Quay, Beresford
Place, Gardiner Street, Left onto Parnell Street and back on to normal
route.
Southbound Routes at OConnell Street
Normal route onto OConnell Street then divert left to Cathal Brugha Street
right to Marlborough Street, Rosie Hackett Bridge, Burgh Quay to DOlier
Street and back on to normal route.
Route 123
Towards Marino
Normal route to OConnell Bridge, then right onto Eden Quay, left into
Beresford Place, Gardiner Street, left onto Sean McDermott Street, right
onto Cumberland Street right onto Parnell Street and back on to normal
route.
Towards Walkinstown
Normal route to Sean McDermott Street then divert left to Marlborough
Street, Rosie Hackett Bridge, Burgh Quay to DOlier Street and back on to
normal route.
Route 747
Towards Heuston Station
Depart Dublin Airport, normal route to Talbot Street then divert to Gardiner
Street, Beresford Place, Memorial Road, Custom House Quay, Rosie Hackett
Bridge, Burgh Quay to DOlier Street and back on to normal route.
Towards Dublin Airport
Normal route to OConnell Bridge then divert right to Eden Quay to Bus Aras
and back on to normal route.
DoDublin Tours
Towards terminus
Normal route to Bachelors Walk then divert straight to Eden Quay, left onto
Marlborough Street, right onto Abbey Street, Gardiner Street, left onto Sean
McDermott St and terminate.
From terminus
Depart Sean McDermott Street, left to Marlborough Street, Rosie Hackett
Bridge, Burgh Quay to DOlier Street and back on to normal route.
From 10.00 to 14.00 the following diversions will be in place;
Routes 29a, 31/a/b and 32
Will depart Talbot Street stop.
Route 130
Will terminate at stop 297, Eden Quay.
Route 41/b/c and 33
Will terminate at stop 300, Eden Quay.
Due Custom House Quay closure from first bus to last bus, the following
diversions will be in place;
Route 14, 15, 27 and 151
Southbound
Normal route to Memorial Road then divert via Matt Talbot Memorial Bridge,
Georges Quay, Butt Bridge to Eden Quay and back on to normal route.
Route 151
Towards Docklands
Normal route to Eden Quay then divert via Beresford Place, Memorial Road and
back onto to normal route.
Easter Monday 2nd April 2018
Sunday service will be in operation and there will be no Nitelink service.

Irish Rail Engineering works: Easter Weekend Service Arrangements
Major Works taking place over the Easter weekend affecting all Heuston
routes, Northside DART, Drogheda and Belfast services
Engineering Works between Dublin Connolly and Skerries
To facilitate track improvement works on Saturday 31st March and Sunday 1st
April, between Dublin Connolly and Rush/Lusk there will be no DARTs
operating between Howth, Malahide and Dublin Connolly. Bus transfers will
operate on Enterprise service between Dublin Connolly and Drogheda. Bus
transfers will operate on Northern Commuter Services between Dublin Connolly
and Skerries.
Bus Transfers between Dublin Heuston and Waterford
To facilitate upgrading of signalling system at Kilkenny, bus transfers will
operate on all Waterford to Dublin Heuston services from Good Friday 30th
March to
Easter Monday 2nd April inclusive.
Engineering Works Belfast (Enterprise) Services
Saturday March 31st and Sunday April 1st
* Bus transfers will operate between Drogheda and Dublin Connolly
* Train services will operate between Belfast and Drogheda only
* Monday 2nd April the 07:35hrs service Dublin Connolly to Belfast
will be bus transfers between Dublin Connolly and Drogheda
Saturday 7th-8th April and Saturday 14th-15th April
* Belfast services will operate to and from Portadown only, bus
transfers will then operate to and from Newry to Belfast
Engineering Works Cork Services
Friday 30th March to Monday 2nd April
* Bus transfers will operate between Dublin Heuston and Newbridge
* Train services will operate between Newbridge and Cork
* 19:25hrs Cork to Dublin Heuston service is cancelled on Friday 30th
March
* Cork services will call additionally at Portarlington
Engineering Works DART Services
Saturday March 31st and Sunday April 1st
* No DART Services will operate between Howth, Malahide and Dublin
Connolly
* Dublin Bus will accept valid rail tickets for northside DART travel
* DART Services will operate Dublin Connolly to Bray and Greystones
only
Engineering Works Drogheda and Dundalk Northern Commuter
Saturday March 31st and Sunday April 1st
* Bus transfers operating between Dublin and Skerries
* Train services will operate between Skerries and Drogheda/Dundalk
only
* Rush and Lusk Station will be closed
* Dublin Bus will accept valid rail tickets for travel within the
affected area only, Rush and Lusk to Dublin Connolly
Engineering Works Dublin Heuston Commuters - Newbridge and Hazelhatch
Services
Friday 30th March to Monday 2nd April
* Heuston Commuter services will operate to an hourly service between
Dublin Heuston and Hazelhatch only
* Grand Canal Dock services are cancelled
* A shuttle bus service to/from Sallins will connect with trains at
Hazelhatch on Good Friday 30th March and Easter Saturday 31st March only
Engineering Works Galway, Westport and Ballina Services
Friday 30th March to Monday 2nd April
* Bus transfers will operate between Dublin Heuston and Kildare
* Train services will operate between Kildare and Galway/Westport
* Galway and Westport services will additionally call at Monasterevin
Engineering Works Limerick Services
Friday 30th March to Monday 2nd April
* Bus transfers will operate between Dublin Heuston and Newbridge
* Train services will operate between Newbridge and Limerick
* Limerick to Limerick Junction services will operate to a revised
schedule
* Sunday 1st April all direct services are cancelled. Customers can
use Cork services with a change at Limerick Junction
Engineering Works Tralee Services
Friday 30th March to Monday 2nd April
* Bus transfers will operate between Dublin Heuston and Newbridge
* Train service will operate between Newbridge and Mallow for Tralee
connections
* Mallow to Tralee services will operate to a revised schedule
Engineering Works Waterford Services
Friday 30th March to Monday 2nd April
* Waterford services will operate as bus transfers between Dublin
Heuston and Waterford serving all intermediate stations

Catering on Rail Iarnród Éireann Services
On affected services, a trolley service will be provided on all InterCity
services. Dining car and restaurant car facilities will not be available.
First Class on Iarnród Éireann Services
On affected services, first class facilities will not be available.

Luas Easter Service Information
26 March
There will be some alterrations to Luas services over the Easter Weekend to
accommodate the Easter Sunday Parade and the Easter Bank Holiday Monday.
Good Friday 30th March 2018:
Both Red and Green Lines will run normal Friday services.
Easter Saturday 31st March 2018:
Both Red and Green Lines will run normal Saturday services.
Easter Sunday 1st April 2018:
The Red Line is due to run a normal Sunday service. However, services may
run between Tallaght / Saggart and Smithfield for short periods, subject to
Garda instructions, to facilitate the Easter Sunday Parade.
The Green Line will run between Brides Glen and St. Stephens Green and
between Broombridge and Dominick Street from first trams until approx.
4.30pm to facilitate the Easter Sunday Parade. There will be no service
between St. Stephens Green and Dominick Street during this time.
Easter Bank Holiday Monday 2nd April 2018:
Both Red and Green Lines will run a Sunday service on Bank Holiday Monday
2nd April.
