Declan and Marion discussed the advantages and disadvantages of different
mobile phone service providers. Declan will send some helpful sites to the list
later on.
Marion wondered if there were any way that the 3 Network could send a
notification that a pay as you go subscriber had used all of the pre-paid data
allowance to avoid incurring unwonted data usage and extra charges.
Michael warned users of Windows 10 to take care to have an alternative
USB-based password system for logging in to Windows 10 on the PC. He was
recently locked out of his PC whilst logging in to Windows 10 on his laptop. He
had to purchase a new installation of Windows 10 at over â¬120! Michael was
confident that he had consistently entered the correct password. The group felt
that he should approach Microsoft to see if there was a system fault or if
Microsoft would take responsibility for the incident and sort out the problem.
Declan pointed out that Firefox offers the ability to sync your data and
preferences (such as your bookmarks, history, passwords, open tabs and
installed add-ons) across all your devices. It is free to use. and involves
setting up a Firefox account.

John pointed out that Firefox offers a mobile browser for Android but not on
iPhone. He has recently acquired an iPhone and is experimenting with its use
but remains a loyal Android user!
There was a discussion of the use of "Tap and Go" payments for purchases and it
was noted that there is a limit of 3 uses per day.
