Hi,

Today we had a problem getting one of the iPhones to save events in the
calendar. Siri confirmed that the event was saved immediately after setting
it up but when asked to report a list of the events in the Calendar,
announced that there were no event's found!

After a bit of research, I found the answer. It is that the iClouds
calendars must be selected in the Calendar app to make the calendars
available.  We found that all the events which had been dictated to Siri
earlier in the day were actually saved but were hidden once the iCloud was
not selected.

In case anyone else meets this problem, here is the procedure to ensure that
the Calendar app is working properly:

1. Go into settings,

2. Click on the second icon showing your name, Apple Id, iTunes, Appstore,
and iCloud;

3. swipe down about six times to the iCloud, button and double tap to open
it;;

4. Swipe down through the list of apps that you have permitted to use iCloud
until you find "Calendar";

6. Double tap to turn Calendars   "on";

7.  Close Settings back to the desktop

8. Open the Calendar app

9. Click on "Calendars" at the bottom of the first screen. It is between
"Today" and "inbox";

10. In the Calendars screen, look for "All ICloud Calendars" which is just
next below the iCloud heading on the third or fourth row.

11. Double click on "All iCloud Calendars" if voiceover does not say
"selected". This is the key to making the calendars available. It must be
selected to enable the various calendars to be used.

12. Double click on "done" in the top right corner to save your settings.
This will return you to the main Calendar screen.

All the best,

Cearbhall
