Hi Folks,
Cancer patients are being forced to pay a huge parking bill every time they go
to hospital. The RCSI Hospitals Group - who run hospitals in Cavan, Dublin and
Drogheda, charge cancer patients huge amounts in parking fees. For patients who
could have appointments several days a week, and who arenât able to work -
this is a massive and unnecessary burden.
This could change if enough of us get behind it. Pressure is mounting on RCSI
and other hospitals to provide parking charge exemptions for cancer patients.
If we act now to pressure RCSI to implement exemptions, it will set the stage
for making sure nobody with cancer in Ireland is ripped off by overpriced
parking charges.
Cancer patients and their families face immense physical, emotional, and
financial challenges while undergoing treatment. Those burdens result in an
average income loss of â¬1,400, while adding â¬862 in monthly treatment
costs. Adding parking fees to every treatment a patient attends can result in
patients having to choose between eating dinner or going to hospital.
Will you join me in signing this petition? Over 7,400 of us have already signed
and RCSIâs management is right on the edge - we might be able to sway them in
our direction if we rally together right now! Just follow this link to sign the
petition: https://action.uplift.ie/campaigns/cancer-patient-parking ;

Thank you for helping!
