Hi Cearbhall,
Thank you for registering for the Exploring an Accessible Digital Society
seminar, which is jointly hosted by the National Council for the Blind of
Ireland (NCBI) and the Visually Impaired Computer Society of Ireland (VICS).
We are excited with a little over a week to go to this event and we would
like to give you some information which will hopefully be of use to you as
you plan your attendance.
Location:
The event is being held at the National Council for the Blind of Ireland
(NCBI) head office campus, in the training centre, which is to the rear of
the main head office building on Whitworth Road.
Bus 40 and 40D travel up Whitworth Road, but the venue is also within a
ten-minute walk from Drumcondra railway station, which is served by the
Maynooth and Sligo lines, and which is also right beside the stop that
serves busses 41, 11, 1, 16 and 13, all of which go from the city centre.
The event itself:
The event will start promptly at 11:00. There are a number of short
presentations planned for the morning, followed by the VICS Annual General
Meeting in the afternoon, and time to get your hands on some of the
technology that will have been discussed earlier in the day.
Refreshments:
A light lunch will be available free of charge on the day. If you have any
dietary requirements can you please let me know as soon as possible.
Event streaming:
This event will be streamed live on line, for those who cant attend in
person. You can access the live stream by opening the link below in your
browser, on your computer, tablet or phone.

The live stream will open about 15 minutes prior to the start of the
seminar.
