Noreen replied to a email on the FB mailing list last night. For some
reason the email did not send in plain text. It seemed to come out in some
other format. Cearbhall explored why this happened by checking the settings
on Noreen's Samsung Galaxy phone. He has to do some more research into this
matter.
Ken wanted to know if anyone at the meeting was using what's app. As he
updated the app on his IPhone over the week. Before there was a favourites
button. This seems to be replaced with a status button. Ken has to go the
long way round to find his contacts. Cearbhall helped Ken to find out what
happened to the favourites button. They seemed to have no luck on this
matter But Ken is happy to go the long way round to send a message.
Derry wanted to find out did anyone know how to get rid of archived emails
on his IPhone. Cearbhall, Noreen and Ken explored this matter with Derry.
Ken and Cearbhall both came to the same conclusion that he had to delete
them one by one.
The group chatted about the apps Tap tapsee and Identifi. Ken used both of
these apps to see if they would recognise a 20 euro note. Both of these
apps did this.
Ita wanted to find out how to use
Siri to check her emails on her IPhone. As she seemed to be having trouble
with this. Cearbhall told her to say to
Siri read emails. Next
Siri will read the latest 3 emails. When
Siri reads the first email subject there is a pause, double tap with one
finger, then say read it, next Siri will read the whole email.
Cearbhall told the group about the IPhone had a magnifier. Ken and Noreen
had a look at this feature on Kenâs Phone.
