In attendance Derry Walsh, Ken Walsh, Pat Walsh, Chris Egan on face time and
Cearbhall O Meadhra on speaker phone.
Chris face timed Ken on Kenâs I Pad. after the meeting the members said
Cearbhall and Chris had no bother hearing each other.
A lot of the meeting involved chatting about the app seeing a i.
Cearbhall wanted to find out if any of the group used a spread sheet to do
different tasks. He also wanted to find out how they navigated around to get to
The group shared their own experiences on this topic.
Derry told the group about the program Window eyes.
Pat seemed to think Siri was on a bit of a go slow when doing different tasks.
He wanted to see if any other members had the same issue.
Ken, Derry and Cearbhall seemed to be having the same trouble. Ken told the
group to power off their phones when this happened as a short term fix.
Ken seemed to be having trubble loging into the Facebook app on his phone.
Voiceover told him this was not his password when he was trying to log in. He
knew this was his password. Ken reported sighted people seemed to be having the
Cearbhall told Ken a work around to fix this problem. Before he enters his
password to hit the backspace button just encase their was a rogue letter in
the password field.
Pat seemed to be having trouble trying to read the clock on his cooker. Ken
told him why not give seeing a i a go to do this.
Chris explored the different channels on the seeing a i app. As he is not a
voiceover user yet.
Pat bought up the topic of K N F B reader. He wanted to see if he could save
anything after taking a picture. He tried this out with Kenâs Bus pass. He
seemed to find the save button with some help from Ken and Derry.
The next Cork meeting is on Saturday the 27th of January.
