In attendance Derry Walsh, Ken Walsh, Pat Walsh, Geraldine Looney, Marta
Parkinson, Pat Mccarthy, Chris Egan and cearbhall O Meadhra on Face time.
The group gave their own experience of the seeing a i app they downloaded
during the week.
Geraldine showed the group her Blue Tooth earphones that she bought in comp u
bee in Cork over the week.
Pat Walsh is going to download the app seeing a i over the week. When he gets
his I Phone S E set up.
Pat Mc Carthy explained to Geraldine on how to create a folder on her I Phone
to tidy up her apps.
Chris wanted to find out what assistive technology might be useful to him in
the future for his job in an office. Marta and some of the group gave him
their own personal experience.
Pat Walsh wanted to find out on how to create a table in Microsoft word.
Cearbhall is going to send him on the steps on how to do this.
Derry told the group a friend of his was waiting for a bus yesterday in Cork
city and decided to put seeing a i to the test. by selecting the short text
option. The app read the bus number very clearly on the bus from a good
distance.
Derry wanted to know if he should update to I O S 11 on his I Phone 5s. Ken
advised him to hold on for a bit longer. As Derry is due an upgrade in the
next month.
Chris wanted to find out on how to get rid of any data he has stored on the I
cloud that he no longer wants. Cearbhall and some of the group are going to
have a look into this.
This led on to Pat McCarthy telling the group on how to manage their I Cloud
storage.
Pat Walsh told the group he downloaded the app VocalEyes a i over the week.
Once again it was a good meeting and really great to have a big attendance.
