We never budgeted for this expense, as it was always a unit owner expense.
Fire wall/ parapet wall is above the roof line.The party wall name--don't know
where that came from might be the lower wall between the two buildings covered
withdry wall, etc might be termed party wall as it soundproofs the two units.
For that wall to deteriorate would need anexplosing or huge fire. We never
worried abut that lower wall between the two units. Since day one, the
fire/parapet wallhas been unit owners shared responsibility. This expense was
never put into the reserve study as it never was anassociation expense.
They should examine all the fire walls and if they are stable, maybe the
association could water proof them.
