Hi Sergio, putting a pig species in there would get rid of it, not sure it
would work as a mixed exhibit though! 😉  We had an area (approximately 3000m2)
that was completely overgrown and they cleared it within about 3 months.  This
relies on being able to move the Hyena for a few months though of course and
the pigs will clear everything that isn’t a tree!

The other option of course is good old Glyphosate but again you’d need to be
able to not let the Hyena out for a couple of weeks after treatment, then go
through and manually clear again.  Will probably need a second hit at it though.

Hope everyone is doing well and getting ready for the summer!

We have a lot of Blackberry bushes (Rubus plicatus) in our Hyena exhibit, the
animal bites on the stems and those, been so spiny get stuck I their mouth,
later infecting and etc.

I am mechanically removing the blackberry several times a year, but is time
consuming and not that effective ;o( I was wondering if any of you have
experience or know of another method of eradicating blackberry?
