Depends on what you mean by "handle" but theoretically well over the 40+ you
mention IIRC. Performance may become an issue long before you reach any
theortical limits on the amount of domains held in memory/directory.

Subject: [exchangelist] theoretical question

Dear All,

we host several email-domains (+ 40) on our Exchange server 5.5, how much
domains can the IMS handle?

thanks in advance,
