Hi Mike,
Renaming the administrator account is safe, as long as you did not use
that account as your service account for Exchange, which you should not
do in the first place. If you have used it as your service account then
you have to create a new account and assign that account to be your
service account, before renaming the administrator account.

Raj

Hi,

Kind of on the same thread, how about renaming the "Administrator" user?
Say you have a Exchange 2003 server that has been installed and in
operation for a while then you realize that the "Administrator" user
name
should be changed for security reasons. Any problems in doing that?

best regards
Mike
