To summarize: it doesn't work, don't use it, don't even TRY to use it,
'cuz you'll just irritate yourself.

Message Recall will not be successful if: 

*

The recipient is not using Outlook. 

*

The recipient is not logged on to the mail service provider. 

*

The message has been moved from the Inbox. 

*

The message has been read.This includes viewing the message with the
Preview Pane so that the message is flagged as Read.

Correct me if I'm wrong...but this only works if the person has NOT read
the email yet.

 

If they have read it...then you won't be able to retrieve it of course.

        You can open it in your sent item and go to action menu and use
recall
