hi,

problem looks to me exchange 2000 standard edition limitations of 16GB.

you can temporarily increase the databse size to 17 Gb by editing registry.

mean time you can take back up of all mail boxes [ PST ] format.

and delete from database.

once you are with this you can either migrate to exchange server 2003
ENT edition.

else put limitations on mailboxes at store level.

which will probably prevent you from database crashing in exchange 2000.
if youwant to go with temporarily increasing database to 17 gb , you
need to concentrate on few event logs.
