Hi,

Question on migrating Outlook mailboxes to Exchange 2003.

I have some users who are currently not on Exchange but have their
messages, folders, contacts, calendars etc. in their Outlook "Personal
Mailbox". Presumably these are stored in a PST file somewhere on the
user's personal system's drives.

In Outlook there is a procedure to export the mailbox to a PST file.

To get the contents of the mailbox to the Exchange server, is it better to
use the export method to create a PST file and import that PST into
Exchange, or is it better to simply copy the actual mailbox itself (also a
PST file?) to the Exchange server and import it into Exchange? (in both
cases the import into Exchange would be done with Exmerge).

best regards
Mike
