Sounds like a UI issue, but do you have a copy of that script you can post? Maybe something in that file that gets created? Also, make sure that it isn't a client issue only. Try opening the messages with different client types (IMAP, OWA, etc). Al -----Original Message----- From: Mark Dewell [mailto:M.Dewell@xxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, May 27, 2004 6:56 AM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] message dates http://www.MSExchange.org/ Here's a puzzler... I have recently written a simple script which as part of its output generates an email message which is dropped into the PickUp folder of an Exchange server. This seems to work fine except that Outlook displays the delivered message as having been sent in 2005! Below is the header from the message that is delivered. As you can see all dates are 27 May 2004, but Outlook shows the sent date as 'Thu 27/01/2005 03:41'. Where is this 2005 date coming from? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - ------------ Microsoft Mail Internet Headers Version 2.0 Received: from uel-mail.uel.ac.uk ([161.76.25.18]) by DL-MAIL1.uel.ac.uk with Microsoft SMTPSVC(6.0.3790.0); Thu, 27 May 2004 03:41:06 +0100 Received: from mail pickup service by uel-mail.uel.ac.uk with Microsoft SMTPSVC; Thu, 27 May 2004 03:41:06 +0100 To: <netadm@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> From: "UEL Quota Monitoring System" <quota@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: bk-stud1 List Disk Quota Finished Date: Thu, 27 05 2004 03:41:05 -0000 Message-ID: <UEL-MAIL9Odutox7nye000000f6@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> X-OriginalArrivalTime: 27 May 2004 02:41:06.0023 (UTC) FILETIME=[0F114F70:01C44394] Return-Path: quota@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - ------ ---< Mark Dewell, University of East London, Dagenham, Essex, UK >--- ---< Email : M.Dewell@xxxxxxxxx >--- ---< URL : http://homepages.uel.ac.uk/1278 >--- < Practice random kindness and senseless acts of beauty (Anne Herbert) > ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Exchange Newsletters: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp Exchange FAQ: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Other Internet Software Marketing Sites: World of Windows Networking: http://www.windowsnetworking.com Leading Network Software Directory: http://www.serverfiles.com No.1 ISA Server Resource Site: http://www.isaserver.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Network Security Library: http://www.secinf.net/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this MSEXchange.org Discussion List as: al.mulnick@xxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub')
