No, Like Steve said - Exchange is a mail server, not a network monitor.
If you want to monitor the status of services, queues, and performance
within
Exchange 2000, there are built-in features that will monitor physical and
software resources on
your server(s)...
ESM>Tools>Monitoring and Status container.
Right-click and choose NEW.
You have about a half dozen or so categories to choose from.

Thanks Drew,but are you familiar with the nortel vpn contivity,I was
wondering if I can use exchange 2000 to monitor it and have exchange send a
messege to our cell.
