Year Demo of Exchange 2003

I have a year demo CD of Exchange 2003. If my company decides not to
continue using it after the trial period is over, will I be able to port the
mailboxes into Exchange 2000. I have not been able to find any
documentation about backward compatability. Currently, we are running
Exchange 5.5.
