I upgraded from Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2003 (Standard) a few months ago. We're going to be getting a new server and move the mailboxes to the new server probably sometime in April. My question is not how to move it, but it's a problem I had with the upgrade from 2000 to 2003. After I upgraded OWA was 2003, the version number in ESM was for 2003, but it doesn't fully think it's 2003. The ESM on the Exchange Server still has the 2000 version's format so I have to administer new features (and old for integrity sake) from a remote PC such as my desktop with ESM installed. I recently tried to install the hotfix to 2003 and it told me that it was the wrong version even though ESM says that it's the correct version required for the hotfix. Everything works fine but I is there any reason for concern when the mailboxes are moved between the current server and the new server?
