It turned out to be a symantec .asp process that needed to be killed because it 
was holding onto requests from 50 days ago.

Short of rebooting the server, you might try killing the inetinfo process.

Hello,
I was trying to turn off a NIC from the DMZ (wanting to get OWA working to
this server from the FE). Tried to stop the WWW service and it has been in
pending mode for over an hour. Any suggestions?
