What firewall are you using? I can't find anything in the error logs, access via OWA works just fine, the RPC application on IIS is properly installed and the certificates are installed locally (on the client that's trying to access) too. I can connect via Outlook when connected to the VPN (same network as the exchange server is in), but via RPC/HTTPS it's a nogo. Are there any common pitfalls I'm missing? My server for instance has a self signed certificate, i.e. it's manually added to the trusted root certificates on the client. But IE for instance still brings up the security alert (with the first two items green, and the third one yellow ("The name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the site"), which is clear, because the server is known under a different name from externally than internally. Ideas anyone? Thanks - Balt "John Tolmachoff (Lists)" <johnlist@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: http://www.MSExchange.org/ There are excellent docs at both MSExchange.org and ISAServer.com. Any idea how RPC over HTTPS is configured? thanks Rick Boza <rickb@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: http://www.MSExchange.org/ You don't mention what version of Exchange and/or AD they have. RPC over HTTP(S) is an inherent feature in Exchange 2003. Is there a way to access the Exchange server with Outlook (not IE) over HTTP/HTTPS? One of the main functionalities they're missing is the ability to save messages to disk in batches (i.e. mark 20 messages and save them). Any ideas how that can be done in OWA?
