Sounds like you have recipients with alternate recipients that point at each other. ( Does that make sense?) -----Original Message----- From: Javier [mailto:jleypon@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, May 12, 2004 8:24 PM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] Too Many Hops Error on Exchange 2003 http://www.MSExchange.org/ Hello, I just switched over to our Exchange 2003 system. I created a new MX record of MX10 and change the old MX record to MX20 where we used to get our email from our ISP. This was done 2 days ago, so everything should be propagated. Everything seems to be working fine, except a couple of users are getting this error when sending an email," A configuration error in the e-mail system caused the message to bounce between two servers or to be forwarded between two recipients. Contact your administrator. < jacinth.propagation.net #5.4.6 smtp; 554 5.4.6 Too many hops>"I'm not sure what this error is referring to. Does anyone have insight to this?
