Check the link out before if you haven't done so. Verify that you are
not having issues with it's local AD that it's querying.

It sounds like ab AD problem rather than exchange.

Check you AD, and make sure all services are running.

I am now getting 

Unexpected error The logon attempt failed ID no: 8009030c Microsoft
Exchange System Attendant  occurred. 

when trying to start the exchange system atendant.  This started
happening after someone aparently shut down the server with the power
button.
This is
a windows 2003 server small business edition.  I have tried running the
service with administrator account but same problems still. 

if anyone has had this problem and has a fix or suggestion it would be
greatly appreciated.
