To stop Exchange, create a batch file with the following: NET STOP MSEXCHANGESA /y To start Exchange, create a batch file with the following: NET START MSEXCHANGESA NET START MSEXCHANGEIS NET START MSEXCHANGEDS NET START MSEXCHANGEMTA NET START MSEXCHANGEIMC To stop and start Exchange on a remote machine, you must have the Windows NT/2000 Resource Kit installed on the computer. The commands necessary are contained within that Resource Kit. Wait.exe is available as sleep.exe in the Windows NT/2000 Resource Kit.
