Split AD and Exchange2003

Dear All,
I'm newbie in exchange2003 , right now we running exchange2003 in he
same machine/server with Active Directory using Windows 2003 Server
Enterprise Ed.
In the future I've planning to split this AD and exchange 2003 into 2
servers running Windows 2003 Server Enterprise Ed. , what kind the best
solution about this scenario? Is it only backup the exchange2003 and the
restore it to the new machine? Or something else
