SMTP queue not processing for all

Hello all,

I have a number of messages sitting in the queue that won't deliver. These
are to addresses that have never shown a problem in the past. For example; I
have two in the queue that were sent from my contact list, never a problem
emailing them. No DNS changes have occurred on the network. The properties
of a message will state "an smtp error occurred" but the vast majority of
messages are being processed.

Not sure where to look.
