Anything in Event Viewer?
this apply to all messages or only messages going to specific places
(internet vs local, domain..?)

I have been having a problem the last few days with messages building up in
the smtp queue. Any messages that are sent off our domain remain in the
queue for about 45 minutes before they are sent. There are no delivery
failures the messages are sent on the first attempt. I checked the message
tracking center andthe delay is when the message is submitted to the
catorgizer.
