Refer the following article to setup message archiving in Exchange 2000.

I will send some reports to you later from Promodag.

Raj, these kind of logs that you told here, is only transaction log. By the
way, in case to internal audity, we could not view attachments or the body
message. Do you use Promodag ? Can you send to me some report examples
generated by this software ? Thanks Andre

By default all transactions are logged in the Exchange transaction logs, which
is typically located in ..\exchsrvr\servername.log\logfile. Typically these log
file are named with the date. One log file for each day. You can extract the
logs using a reporting tool such as Promodag.

Raj

Subject: [exchangelist] SMTP Transaction Logs

http://www.MSExchange.org/

Dear Exchange Specialist,
I´d like to know how can I configure the same log on my exchange2000 that exist
in Exchange5.5 for all SMTP transactions.

When the messagens was sent or received by Internet Mail Connector, many logs
was created at the folder "c:\exchsrvr\imcdata\(in/out)\archive".
All these files has no extension, but if I rename these to ".EML", I have a
copy of the message, with header, attachments and message body.

How can I configure this feature in Exchange2000?
Anybody knows about some software that can I do something like this ?

Sorry about my mistakes,
Best Regards,
André Vilares
