If DNS\DHCP is only thing the Linux Server is managing I would shutdown the Linux PC and let SBS manage it. I assume the Netware environment is an Novell Server ??? else correct me ! Had the same setup once, I would be better if your users that use exchange log on to the SBS server. The Users logged on to the SBS server and the Novell server on startup , it worked fine. -----Original Message----- From: Paul Cassidy [mailto:Paul.Cassidy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: 12 October 2004 12:14 PM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: SBS2003 in Netware Enviroment[Scanned] http://www.MSExchange.org/ Have tried to get them(customer) to migrate but to no avail. Seems like a waste just to have SBS as a mail server. -----Original Message----- From: Simon Bound [mailto:simon.bound@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: 12 October 2004 10:28 To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: SBS2003 in Netware Enviroment[Scanned] http://www.MSExchange.org/ If I were you I'd think about using all the facilities that your new software (SBS) gives you. Dump Netware (and yes I had been a Netware user for 18 years)...fine for big oranisations but SBS suites your 55 users. You can also use DNS/DHCP from SBS. All SBS will be used for will be mail. DNS\DHCP is done by Linux I just need confirmation that I will be able to install as a single domain. Add the users (55 in total) and just point exchange to the new mail server. I was thinking of telling them to use web mail as it has most of the functions of the outlook client. Will I have issues with enter login name\password\domain if I use outlook client.
