http://www.msexchange.org -------------------------------------------------------We run with the OS on a local mirrored pair, Exchange binaries and the stores on an IBM DS4800 RAID 5 and the Logs on the same DS4800 but a separate RAID5. We're currently 2GB fiber redundant, one pair to a McData switch and the other pair to an IBM Director. Good performance, flexibility and DR. George Taylor Systems Programmer Regional Health Inc. Of course, you have to think about how you connect to the SAN and various other factors. Then there's the price. My server is connected via 2gig Fiber to Brocade switches with multipathing, then into a redudant heads on a NetApp. No complaints here. Beyond that, various SAN vendors offer different type of software to do advanced functionality with snapshotting, mirroring, etc. ________________________________ From: exchangelist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:exchangelist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of John Knijn Sent: Wednesday, March 07, 2007 7:14 AM To: exchangelist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [ExchangeList] SAN Hi, Does anybody has (bad?) experiences with Exchange Server 2003 Enterprise Edition and the use of SAN (Storage Attached Network)?
