So have you got any idea what the reg key is for this?

If the resvc is turned off, is it off for all of the RG's? Where is the
LSA information coming from? Your site? Or some other site? In other
words, is it just being passed along from a RG Master in some other RG
to this site? I would have expected once the link was listed as down,
that it would only send the updates on 60 second intervals, not every
few minutes send a bunch. That sounds more like it's passing the
information on from other RG Masters and acting as the central relay
hub.

You can turn link state off altogether if it helps. There's a regkey
that allows this. I have not heard of a way to change the interval, but
that would be a nice thing to have. You may have to check with
Microsoft and see if that's doc'd internally.

If you run a netmon session on port 25 then you can see lots of these
coming through every few minutes. This is with the Routing engine turned
off.

Just so I understand this correctly, do you want to stop sending routing
updates or just change the frequency? If the frequency, what is the
current frequency you're seeing (i.e. every five minutes a 20k message
is sent etc)?

All
    Would appreciate some input.

We have problems on a regular basis with slow network links. Even though
the Routing engine is turned off the servers at the end of wet pieces of
string continue to get routing updates.
These are smtp over port 25 deltas. They literally say that the
connection is up or down. Since they send out to all in the same routing
group then the amount of traffic is more than enough to swamp the poor
link. What I need to do is to limit the amount of deltas that are sent
out. I want to say deltas can go out every 20 mins say. Does anyone know
how I might achieve this?
