I've setup this scenario for testing and it works better for us than the PF
approach. With the PF (at least in Exch 5.5), you cannot review the resource's
availability without going directly to the PF. If the resource is a mailbox,
it's calendar can be displayed in the appointment as an attendee. This also
makes searching for an open meeting room easier if you can add multiple meeting
rooms to the appointment to see which is open.

We have it set up with each room having a mailbox, and all users have Author
Permission to the room (Default=Author), also to allow
for Direct Booking, set the Resource Scheduling to Automatically Accept
Meetings and Decline Conflicts. The room appears in the GAL so
the user can select it and click the Resource button to add it to the meeting
as a Resource. We have 39 rooms set up this way.

Hi,
Don't know if this will help but we have boardrooms setup in Public folders for
each meeting room, so users are able to go in there and book the rooms at
specified times.

Hi guys,
I am having a little problem here and I would crave your help. I need to have a
boardroom as a resource in exchange. What I mean is this. I want people to have
access to the boardroom they should be able to see the boardroom as a resource
in the address list and book it from there.
Does anyone know how to do that, it could be achieved easily with lotus notes,
but I don't know how far with exchange.
