Simon,
The domain that the user is replying from @....co.uk should enable
reverse DNS lookups. I think you are getting confused with DNSBL's (DNS
Blacklists). Reverse DNS is a *must* for any legitimate organization
sending mail. What is the exact domain that is having the issue? We can
use DNSStuff.com to run some checks on that domain name...

DNSBL use is what this list often has issues with....

Chris

Al

Is this the problem for this customer ?

ERROR: The IP of one or more of your mail server(s) have no reverse DNS
(PTR) entries (if you see "Timeout" below, it may mean that your DNS servers
did not respond fast enough). RFC1912 2.1 says you should have a reverse DNS
for all your mail servers. It is strongly urged that you have them, as many
mailservers will not accept mail from mailservers with no reverse DNS entry.
You can double-check using the 'Reverse DNS Lookup' tool at the DNSstuff
site. The problem MX records are:
61.16.168.81.in-addr.arpa [No reverse DNS entry (rcode: 3 ancount: 0) (check

I have set the server up with No Reverse DNS lookup as stuff on this forum
indicates not to ...................

Likely it's something with the AOL messaging client. A setting that says
not to include the original message on reply or something similar. Very
common with AOL.

I have setup a redirect messages option by following the excellent tutorial
by Mark Fuggatt, so that messages sent to person@xxxxxxxxxxx are forwarded
back out to person@xxxxxxxx The messages get through ok to person@xxxxxxx
but when person@xxxxxxx replies to those messages the originator does not
appear to see the message. Any idea's ? As I write this I'm thinking that
there is some sort of circular routing going on.
