http://www.msexchange.org -------------------------------------------------------Paul, This problem has nothing to do with the ADUC running on XP workstation. When the RUS goes into a hung mode, even if you create a user from the Exchange server you would see the same issue, no Exchange attributes are being stamped for the user object. I have been through while running Exchange 2000/Windows 2000. The problem went away after upgrading to 2003 environment. Contacted Microsoft, but no real solution, but to simply restart the Exchange services on the servers running the RUS. I see you are running Exchange 2003/Windows 2003. But your AD domain is still 2000. Have you applied all latest Service packs? Have you considered upgrading your entire AD to 2003? This might be your long term solution for this nagging problem. HTH. In light of recent discussions on RUS problems, I thought I'd throw it out again. Has anyone seen or noticed conditions where accounts created using ADUC on a Windows XP workstation would hose up the RUS service in Exchange, making it necessary to restart Exchange before email addresses would be automatically generated? Running Exchange 2003 Enterprise on W2K3 Standard server in Windows 2000 domain, native mode.
