Hey Tony, Have you been following this article? http://support.microsoft.com/?id=833401 From step 15: "To test your RPC over HTTP configuration, click to select the On fast networks, connect to Exchange using HTTP first, then connect using TCP/IP check box and the On slow networks, connect to Exchange using HTTP first, then connect using TCP/IP check box." Annoyingly, there isn't an option to remove the ability to connect via normal TCP/IP. But if you've set up RPC/HTTP properly, then it shouldn't really matter. I've actually just installed it on my system here after bashing my head over it for a while. If you follow that article to the letter, it should work. Just make sure you Change the registry settings (even if you've installed EXCH SP1!, this is where I tripped up: ####################################################### Locate and then click the following registry subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Rpc\RpcProxy In the right pane, right-click ValidPorts, and then click Modify. Remove all the information from the Value data box, and then type the following information: ServerNETBIOSName:6001;ServerFQDN:6001;ServerNetBIOSName:6004;ServerFQDN :6004 ######################################################## Good luck, Jason -----Original Message----- From: Tony Anderson [mailto:tandersn@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: 27 July 2004 19:44 To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RPC over HTTP http://www.MSExchange.org/ Hi, I have Outllook 2003, Exchange 2003, Windows 2003. I have installed and configured the RPC over HTTP on the server. I have tested it by going to https://servername.domain.com/rpc and get the expected results. I have configured outlook 2003 to connect via HTTP on slow and fast. However, when I start it, it always connects via TCP/IP. Any suggestions of where to look?
