Hi Luca,
From memory (I don't have Exchange Server CD with me today), you need to run
setup, as if you were going to install the full E2K product. When you get to
the bit to choose which components you want to install; Exchange 2000,
Collaboration stuff, and Administration Tools, select ONLY 'Administration
Tools'.... this will install the E2K Admin bits to the W2K AD Admin Tools on
your PC, and give you a copy of Exchange System Manager also.

i have Windows 2000 Admin Tools installed on my pc (ADMINPAK.msi) but i must
give a taskpad view to another people that have not administrative permit. When
i run MS Exchange 2000 Server CD i find only 3 tabs: setup, documentation and
browse. In browse tab i find 'instant messaging', 'migrations tools', 'support
tools', 'ADC' and browse cd. Which is?
That you say i see only on exchange server.

Hi Luca,
If I am reading this correctly, you are having a problem creating a
contact on a Server or PC that does not have Exchange Server
installed?!?!.
If this is the case, then you should make sure that you have Windows
2000 Admin Tools installed on your Admin PCs or Non-DC Servers
(ADMINPAK.MSI), and for the email admin functions, you should also run
the MS Exchange 2000 Server CD and choose to install Administration
Tools..... (then run latest service packs).
Once the exchange admin tools have been installed you should then see
four new tabs appear on property pages from AD; Exchange General,
Exchange Advanced (if you enable Advanced View), Exchange Features and
Email Addresses. And you can perform Exchange Tasks from AD.
If I have the wrong end of the stick, I'm sorry - and I will shut up :-)
