They do appear to have a SPF record specifying postini as an authorized sender.
Something may not be correct; I would have them verify that their IP range is
correct 208.74.204.5.

Add their IPs to your global accept list; message delivery; properties;
conection filtering accept. This will exempt all processing.

I"m thinking it's failing because they are going through postini so postinit
says to you helo I"m postini and then sending as their customer's domain.

First, what is their HELO as your server saw it?

BTW, that answer from them unfortunately is the attitude many take, "It is your
problem, not ours."

Thanks John. Yes their servers are not sending, using, Sender ID. according to
their Exchange Admin, who called me. To say that I should white list them as he
is not changing their servers.

Now my problem is how do I white list them for Sender ID. I do not see a place
to do this in Message Delivery Properties. Any suggestions?

Todd

You are rejecting their email based upon your configuration, in this case
because the HELO of the sending server does not meet the requirements of your
implementation. The DNS report you listed means nothing in this case, since
they are sending out through a different server from what they are receiving on.

What you need to do is review the log or if the postmaster message includes the
sending (email) server HELO. This is what is wrong.

Email going out of your server or to your server?

I e-mailed them a DNSstuff report with this error

They called me back to say that they do not use sender ID and that my Exchange
server is configured wrong. I am running Exchange 2003 SP2, IMF, RBL and
anti-spam software on the Exchange and ISA2006 servers.

Do I have something wrong in my configuration that caused the 550 5.7.1 error.
