Problem with sent mail.

Hallo everybody,
I have an exchange server 5.5, and O.S. Backoffice Small business 4.5.
Now I have a problem in all the client connected to the exchange with
Microsoft Outlook 2000, since some days all the client have lost some sent
mail.

There is a way to find it?? or that message are lost forever??
