Problem with auto-archived message

Hallo everybody!
I have an exchange 5.5 with os Backoffice SmallBusiness 4.5 the client use
Outlook 2000.
When the client auto-archive messages and i try to see old messages sent, i
can't found some messages(this lost are totally random).
The problem may depend to the auto-archive or is due to the exchange server?
If the problem is due to the auto-archive of the outlook's client how can i
get lost messages??
