I have a question that I have recently addressed and can't seem to figure out. I have a front end server, a back end server and a back end 2 server cluster. I am trying to get OWA to work from outside of the network. It works fine from the inside on both BE servers by way of \\servername\exchange When I am on the FE server, I can get to mailboxes on the back end servercluster from the FE, but not to any mailboxes on the 1st BE server from the FE. On the FE, I can also access by way of address of MX record. Therefore I guess I have two delimas. 1st to get to the 1st BE from the FE. I believe all ports have to be open since I can get to mailboxes on the BE cluster. Now that back end cluster has an internal nic confiugred with no DNS and an external nic configured with the dns address of the internal nic of the DNS server. The single front end server has an internal nic configured to two internal dns servers and an external nic configured for the external nic of the internal DNS server. Does anyone see an obvious problem? -----Original Message----- From: Lara, Greg [mailto:GLara@xxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, October 20, 2004 10:40 AM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: Permission Export http://www.MSExchange.org/ Al, your modesty, while commendable, is misplaced in this case.
