 Hi ,

  Thanks for the responce!!

User gets the login page, after typing in user name and password this error
message is displayed. On more important observation is that, if administrator
logs in to OWA and then type the mailbox name of the user who is having
problem, it goes through fine.

Example: I login in as administrator to OWA. This is administrator mailbox.
Now I just change the url to https://mailserver/exchange/username now it works.

This clearly shows there is permission issue for that particular user. But
permissions seem to be OK on the mailbox. As I mentioned earlier also if
directly connect to backend server then it works fine even with the mailbox
owner user name and password.

  For example:

https://backendserver/exchange the user is prompted for user name and
password, then it logs in without any issue.

NOTE: I am using FBA on FE and normal authentication on BE.

  Regards
  Praveen R

Are you doing https redirection? Have you tried from other machines and OS's?
If you're doing https redirection, try specifying the https so it doesn't have
to redirect. Also go into IE and toggle the "show friendly http error" messages
in the tools internet options, advanced menu.

Does the user get the chance to login or does it go to this page after
going to your mail web page.

Subject: [exchangelist] OWA issue for only one user

  http://www.MSExchange.org/
    Hi,

I have exchange 2003 sp1 running on windows 2003. There is a FE / BE server.

One user is getting the below error when logged through FE. But from BE it
works fine.

You are not authorized to view this page HTTP Error 403 - Forbidden
Internet Explorer Checked permission it seems to be OK. Another user had
faced this problem, then i had deleted the mailbox and re-created which solved
the problem. But for this case i dont want to do the same thing.

    Need your help on this.

    Regards
    Praveen R
