Be careful with POP if you use Outlook in Corporate mode (ie. Using MAPI)

Be aware that when a client (eg. Outlook Express) is set to download mail
from a mail server using POP. It retrieves all the mail and deletes it from
the mailbox.

In Exchange, this translates into Outlook Express downloading ALL mail in
your Inbox, and DELETING it from your Inbox.

To answer your question, any new mails which have arrived will be available
and seen to OWA users, but as soon as a POP client retrieves those mails and
deletes them, they won't be on OWA anymore.

Subject: [exchangelist] OWA and POP

Hello All,

When a domain user reads their email through OWA
can they still read the same email through regular POP?

Thanks in advance.
