OT: Word 2000 Problem

I have a user that is having problems with Word. Can any one recommend a
good list?
Problem - when they open a new word document the template appears with a
dotted border about 2cm from the edge all the way round. It does not print
the dotted border but I can not find a way to turn it off.
Any help or recommended lists greatfully received.
