OT: Windows XP computer and Ctrl Key sticks.

Hi
today two users have developed the same problem.
After a minute or two their computers CTRL key sticks down and typing
becomes impossible.
I know it must be a program that they have installed ie opened an email and
run something but I can not locate it.
Any ideas greatly appreciated before I reinstall.
